Dunggir National Park

Dunggir National Park is located about 20km west of Bowraville and is part of a network of nature reserves in the Nambucca Valley, including Ngambaa, Juugawaarri, Ganay, Bowraville, and Bollanolla. Established in 1997, it covers an area of 25 square kms. "Dunggir" is a Gumbaynggirr word meaning "koala," reflecting the park's Aboriginal heritage and native wildlife. It is home to endangered animal species, including koalas and yellow-bellied gliders.

The baiting activities undertaken at Dunggir National Park are managed by the Coffs Harbour office of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
