Goonoo National Park

AERIAL BAITING: 28 April - 3 May 2025

Goonoo National Park is a significant protected area located approximately 35 kilometres northeast of Dubbo in the central-western region of New South Wales. Created in 2005, it covers an area of 9,090 hectares and forms part of the larger Goonoo Forest. Goonoo National Park is recognised as a crucial habitat for several threatened bird species and is part of the Goonoo Important Bird Area, which also includes the Goonoo State Conservation Area and Coolbaggie Nature Reserve.

The baiting activities undertaken at Goonoo National Park are managed by the Dubbo office of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
