Paroo-Darling National Park

Paroo-Darling National Park is a major protected area in the Far West region of New South Wales, renowned for its conservation value, unique arid landscapes, and rich Aboriginal history. Established in 2000, the park covers approximately 178,000 hectares. It is internationally significant for waterbirds, including migratory species protected under international agreements. Notable species include the freckled duck, blue-billed duck, brolga, painted snipe, and black-tailed godwit. Red, eastern grey, and western grey kangaroos, euros, and a variety of reptiles, amphibians, and bats also inhabit the park.
