Carrai State Conservation Area
GROUND BAITING: 8 June - 8 December 2025
Carrai State Conservation Area was created in 2003 and covers an area of 6,853 hectares. It is located approximately 100 km west of Kempsey and 60 km southeast of Armidale in northeastern NSW. The conservation area, along with the adjacent Carrai National Park, protects 20 identified vegetation communities, including subtropical rainforest and three old growth forest types.
The baiting activities undertaken at Carrai State Conservation Area are managed by the Walcha office of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
