Pilliga Nature Reserve

GROUND BAITING: 1 July 2025 - 12 February 2026

Pilliga Nature Reserve is a 80,627-hectare protected area created in December 2005, forming part of the iconic Pilliga Forest in north-central NSW. The reserve is located between Narrabri and Coonabarabran on the Newell Highway and represents a significant portion of Australia's largest remaining native forest.

The baiting activities undertaken at Pilliga Nature Reserve are managed by the Castlereagh office of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
